First maternity session | Kansas City Maternity Photographer

I have been so lucky to have families that are willing to try new things and just go with the flow. My first maternity session was no exception and so much fun! The mom suggested Shawnee Mission Park for the location and I'm so thankful that she did. It's a huge park with so many different areas and looks, but I wish it didn't have so many spider webs and bumps in the ground. šŸ™‚ Here are a few of my favorites from the session –

She is laughing at me here because she had just told me about a copperhead snake that was found at the park recently and I'm walking through the tall grass in my flip flops and cringing every time I step on something bumpy –

And a couple photos that include their beautiful daughters –

I think this was my favorite family photo. I love how young E is looking at her dad and how older E is leaning against her mom and holding her hand.

Thank you, R, for being so willing to walk through the tall grass, along the spidery trails and for
being so patient with me while I tried a few new things! I hope the next couple of weeks go fast and that you have your newest addition soon.
