The birds vs. Speedy

A few nights ago I heard some baby birds. After investigating, I found them in a nearby tree and took some photos –

Today while I was outside, I decided to check out the nest again, only this time I had a helper. The birds were not happy about either of us being close to the nest. This was my helper –

This bird let everyone within hearing distance know that danger was around (aka Speedy cat)-

This brought out the other birds. Some hid in the trees, others just positioned themselves around the yard –

But they all stayed close to the nest and as close as they felt comfortable to Speedy –

While he tried to hide his overweight kitty body in the grass –

After a few minutes I decided that it was time to leave the birds alone. There were no birds hurt in this outing and Speedy was put back inside before the birds attacked him. 🙂
